Hosted by Honen’s, we revealed the pianos on a sunny day in September. Five different pianos were played by five different Piano Masters! Although the other pianos had beautiful classical piano pieces played, John Kimura Parker decided that a Jazz piece was more appropriate for Clementine, and a great way to end the presentation. After the reveal, John confided that as soon as he saw her he knew he wanted to play Clementine.
That evening I was a guest attending the concert by The Montrose Trio, of which John is a member of. That evening they brought Clementine into the Jack Singer, and I was able to talk to people about the painting, and be there for people to take pictures with (imagine, they wanted pictures of me too!!)
When I told the clients at Arts Commons that I had named the piano Clementine, they were very excited…they have two grand pianos, and they both have names – all the important pianos have names. They told me that she is getting more love and attention than ever!
Clementine is housed at Arts Commons right by the Jack Singer Concert Hall. She is available for public use at all times. As far as secrets go, Clementine has a secret message inside her that only the tuner will ever see. Just one of those things that most people don’t do…but I will.
Thank you to Honen’s for choosing me, and to Arts Commons for being a cheerleader for me and my art during the events!
